About gatherinchrist.ca

In Canada (and the West), there is a growing move away from the traditional church building as the centre of community and faith. Gathering in Christ, an outreach project of Westminster Church, aims to meet the needs of those in this changing cultural landscape by providing all the resources for them to build faithful and meaningful Christian gatherings in their homes or wherever they might be.

Westminster is a congregation centred in Barrie, Canada. It's mission statement is "to be biblically rooted in the great command and commission of Jesus: to fully love God and our neighbours, and to go and make disciples of all nations." It also has the following Faith Statement: "We believe in the risen Lord Jesus Christ and the Scriptures as the inspired word of God. We stand in active continuity with our Reformed Protestant heritage as expressed in documents such as the ‘Westminster Confession of Faith.’" People in the congregation come from a variety of different backgrounds. Our unity is in Jesus. Westminster is affiliated with The Presbyterian Church in Canada, and seeks to be a witness to the grace and truth of the risen Jesus.
